Heated floor yoga on the first floor with a view of the sky and fjord - wedi makes it possible

Yoga on a heated floor - it almost sounds too good to be true. Nevertheless, this is what mason Kaj Astrup from Ringkøbing has created for a customer on the first floor.

The yoga room is located with ceiling and panoramic windows facing Ringkøbing Fjord. This unique place, with a view of beautiful nature, becomes very special. The immersion and calmness that yoga provides becomes even deeper with heat that flows up from the floor and connects well-being and calmness in the body. After all the word 'yoga' means precisely to unite mind, body, and spirit.

Well-being know-how at its best

In combination with the yoga room, two bathrooms have also been built with underfloor heating. Here wedis Fundo Riolito is used in the shower cabins and Sanosa benches complete the rooms, so that dressing and undressing can take place in the most comfortable way.

The complex task of laying water-borne underfloor heating on the first floor on top of a layer of beams is possible because the mason used wedi Preline®.

These floorboards have an ultra-thin height measurement of between 30 and 60mm, are easy to install, and the weight is low compared to similar underfloor heating options. The weight of a wedi floor system is extremely low. A six m² heated floor weighs only 49 kg. In comparison, six m² of floor in a classic concrete construction will weigh more than 700 kg.

The insulation value of the plates is high, and the pre-milled grooves, which can accommodate water-carrying 16 mm Alupex pipes, contribute to the product being time and resource-saving. Turning tracks are integrated, so it is easy to spackle, making assembly of PreLine quick. PreLine from wedi is particularly energy-saving; the insulated core ensures that the heat is distributed to the surface and does not stay in the construction, and the heated air rises naturally into the room.

In the yoga room in Ringkøbing, Ardex K 2000 F fiber-reinforced self-levelling compound is used, which has subsequently been given a final surface with PU rubber compound, which gives it a nice finish and a comfortable floor that you don't slip on.
